If enough support can be assembled in the form of donated time, labor, materials, or funds, then The Savoy Hotel and Bathhouse can certainly have a very promising future.  It could easily once again be a great asset to the City and County of Nowata and the State of Oklahoma. 

2009 represents The Savoy’s centennial birthday, and the building could definitely provide another 100 years of service, and another 100 years after that, and another, and another, for as long as people are willing to put forth a little effort.  There is adequate commercial space in the front on the first floor to host a barber shop, and a restaurant, maybe an antique store, perhaps a real estate office, etc.  Furthermore, the beautiful lobby and ballroom have great potential as social meeting places for community events, weddings, banquets, etc.  And the 2nd and 3rd floors have over 60 rooms that could be used for hotel rooms, apartments, offices, or small stores. 

The best use of the tremendous space in the building is not yet determined, but there is no question that the possibilities are numerous and amazing.  The Savoy can once again be the social hub of the town.  And it can be both a functional and nostalgic landmark in Oklahoma.
